I phoned Telkom cancellations on the 12th March to cancel my service from the 12th April, giving my 1 month notice as required. On the 14th of March a lady from the cancellations phoned and tried me to convince to stay but I am moving city's and I am not sure when I am going to get accomodation. That evening I came home and no phone line or ADSL. I contacted Telkom the next day and reported a fault. Later on Friday got an sms stating service restored. Got home and no service. Phoned again on Monday as I waiting too long on my mobile to talk to someone over the weekend. Tey told me my service was cancelled. I was amazed, as I have not cancelled my service until the 12th of April. I demand that my service get restored immediately. I will however cancel my direct debit and will not pay for the days I did nto have service. today is day 5 and counting. I will only pay for the tiime I could use the service. This is a mistake by Telkom that needs to be fixed immediately! Just a pity there is no real cometition!
