Unresolved Billing Issue since Oct 2011

In October 2011 we received in incorrect MTN statement to the amount of R255 000.00. We immediately raised alarm as the average monthly amount has been between R800 - R1200 for the past 5 or 6 years. They still went ahead and decducted the amount from our bank after we queried this (at least the bank was able to reverse the payment). We immediately removed the sim card and stopped using the number untill the issue was resolved. Numerous phone calls were made but each month the bill just got bigger and bigger. MTN has now handed over the account to a company dealing with bad debt who has in turn blacklisted us as we refuse to pay this (NOW) absorbent amount as we KNOW that there is DEFINITELY a HUGE mistake. We have told MTN on numerous occasions that we are prepared to pay the normal averaged amount for the first month that billing was incorrect as well as the monthly subsription fees for the time that the sim was not used and carry on with the contract. But we have had ZERO joy and the fact that we are also now blaclisted is DEFINTELY unacceptable. We have come to a point where we are seeking legal advise as MTN is clearly not interested in assisting us with this issue.
