I would like to complain again about the shocking service from Telkom. After problems with connecting I requested that Telkom cancel my line in late October already. Because I was outof service for such long periods, Telkom credited me with two amounts for the time of being out of service. I was losing business and unable to function my business normally so I decided its best to cancel my account. I received a call around 30 november / 1 Dec 2012 to clarify the final amounts deducted and owing etc. They lady assured me the account would now be cancelled immediately. I received a bill for Dec in January amount now had another line rental & adsl added to it. I now owe over R700 which I do not have. Firstly when the account was said to be cancelled why was it not cancelled? It should have been cancelIed on 1 December, therefore nothing owed for Dec or January! Well not so - I received a call early last week requesting payment and reminder that my account is in arrears. I told the man that the account should have been closed. Called back- account is still not closed and I am not paying a cent until this is sorted out!
