Cell phone insurance is a

Telecommunications

About one month ago I was involved in a car accident and sustained a broken jaw - what's more I was robbed of wallet and my cell phone on the scene (my vodacom contract phone). I under went reconstructive surgery on my jaw & couldn't really eat for always two & a half weeks. With everything I've been through I put forward a cell phone insurance claim just to be told that it is rejected as the contracted sim card wasn't in the phone at the time it was. I was also told by the Cellsure consultant that the sim card is insured and not the handset, so evidently what ever cell phone the sim card is placed into is automatically insured. I don't know how much truth there is what she said, but it doesn't make sense at all. I've never had cell phone insurance before because I've never saw any reason to have it up until my car accident. Now I've lost faith & trust in Vodacom & more so in cell phone insurance, I don't know what the next step is as this situation really "big time". Insurance is suppose to assist you in the event of unforeseen occurrences such as what happened to me, but Cellsure didn't deliver when I needed them most. Can some one please help me?
