After 13 years, I'm going elsewhere

Telecommunications

After 13 years of being an MTN customer I'm leaving. For two reasons. Firstly, I was told that because I already have a recurring data bundle loaded on my contract (It came 'free' with the contract), they are unable to load another recurring bundle. Only 'once off' bundles. Which meant that for anything over 200Mb I got charged out of bundle rates. This resulted in major bill-shock (R3, 300 this month!). I was promised several times that they would get someone to call me to resolve it, even if it meant removing my 'free' bundle and replacing it with a new one. That was a year ago. That never happened. Secondly, I moved to Cape Town 6 months ago and I have no coverage at my house. Nothing. They did come to install a 'booster'. This has done diddley-squat to improve things. I can't make calls. My phone just goes to voicemail. I don't live in rural Cape Town.

So that's me, off to Cell C probably. Maybe Vodacom. Actually quite sad that their 'retentions' department just said fine. OK, leave. I had some brand loyalty, silly me :-(
