4G LTE Network not delivering

I have since January a Galaxy note 2 4G LTE as I was told that the LTE network was the next big thing. Truth is it is extremely unstable and keeps dropping all the way down to Edge or HSPA, not even defaulting to 3G, even if staying immobile. This is happening in Craighall Park, Woodmead, East rand mall area, Sandton.
It is highly frustrating and my wife who took over my previous 3G phone has pretty much always perfect connection. Frankly a 3G phone is a much reliable solution at the moment, despite all the advertising
When will Vodacom deliver on their promise of a fast reliable LTE network in Johannesburg?
