On Monday the 25th February 2013, I cancelled my contract with Altech Auto Page.
When I advised the cancellation department that I'm going to cancel my contract I specifically asked if Altech Auto page will debit me R282.49 for the month of March. I was told NO, and that I will only have to pay contractual obligations, she couldn't tell me at that stage what it will be, but I did get a sms that said: "Please be advised that your port application has been approved. You are reminded that you may have contractual obligations to Auto page Cellular. Your estimated cancellation fee is R73.00" So according to the message i got, I would ONLY pay R73.00 and nothing else.
Now my account was debited last night for an amount of R282.49??? I was told that I would not pay anything for the month of March?? And that I would only pay R73.00. Somewhere somehow they gave me the wrong information. And I need to get to the bottom of this, I need to know why was I debited if I am not getting any airtime etc. and why I was told that I WILL NOT be charged. Either way I do expect a refund.
If they not sure whether or not i will be debited they should not tell customers that.
