Mtn
Battery leakage

Telecommunications

I think it was the 21st of December 2012 - I went to sleep with a working iPhone 4s and when I woke up it wasn't switching on. I took it to MTN Brooklyn and they said they would fix it. I called them and they said they would send me an sms but I never received it and they blamed the system. So I asked the guy if it was fixed - he said yes. I get to MTN and they tell me it was water damaged, they show me a picture and they say the corrosion was caused by liquid damage. I keep insisting that my phone NEVER went anywhere near the water, steam and all these other possible reasons they mentioned. So I took the phone for a second opinion and I get there and they tell me it was a battery leakage which destroyed the mother board. I have made calls to the HVRC call centre and they haven't helped. My phone is 6 months old. MTN doesn't even bother to check where the source of the corrosion was and they don't even bother to listen to me after. I want a new phone since this was clearly not my fault. MTN has been a pain in my life and I am really tired of them treating their consumers like dirt. Someone - anyone - please sort this mess out.
