No loan phones and Ridiculous repair costs

I upgraded to a BB in January this year from week 2 my phone would suddenly die on me even though the battery was fully charged! I never took my phone in as I didn't want to not have it for a week or two. In last 2 weeks it has got worse and has started shutting down 5 - 10 times a day and takes a lot longer to get back on - basically it seems that the phone is not 'seeing' the battery. I took it in to Eastgate and was told that there are no more loan phones so I had to track down a spare phone of a friends - which happens to be a cheap phone with only sms and calls - so all my airtime is being used up on this - even though i'm still paying BIS. Then today I get an sms that my phone has liquid damage - when i said my phone hasn't been near water i was told that whike cooking in the kitchen the steam can cause the water damage!! They won't even just put in a new battery and see if that solves the problem - once they see liquid damage they won't look at anything else!! If a new batterysolves the problem then water damage is not an issue! I must pay R2416.17 to repair it - A new BB curve costs this! now i'm stuck with 18 months left on my contract and am paying BI|S with no phone
