POOR Service - No Help!!

I phoned to enquire about my phone's roaming facility as my son is using it and is currently in America. I'm unable to contact him and have to phone him with an emergency.
The Call Centre asked me sooo many questions and while driving I managed to answer most.
I gave my name, my number, my ID, my bank, type of account and then they wanted the postal address? Having moved to Jhb recently I could not remember if I changed it and then they asked what package is the phone on, what's the vodacom account number and what date does my payment get deducted from my bank account??
How many questions do they need to ask?
I explained I must contact my son urgently... they point blank refused to help me? I asked for a manager and was told that he would also refuse me if I can't answer all the questions?

I find that this is shocking and poor service from Vodacom, surely the info I gave is enough, how must I remember my account number or when the measly payment goes off while driving and stressed about our family emergency?

I hope Vodacom cleans up their act and starts giving decent service to their customers?

I'm VERY unhappy and still cannot contact my son with our family emergency
