Im expectet to pay a bill that exeedes my account

I received a bill stating that I my pay in an amount of R1347 because I've used up my monthly data. When I called in to understant why its R948 over my set limit of R50 tththey told me its because their system is 3 hours behind and only then does the billing stop. So now I'm being held liable for their faulty system and they will debit my account regardless of whose at fault! They did not even send any notification about exceding my limit like they usually do.
