I decided to make use of one of Telkoms promotional offers. It includes free installation free land line and modem 5 gig WiFi and so forth. Two weeks later the technician comes to my house and informs my mother that he would not be able to install my Telkom line because of lose hanging telephone wires from the sidewalk to my house. She called me to inform me that the technician has left. I then called 10210 to find out what the problem was and I was told to please install pipes for the telephone line because it was exposed. Now if I'm a new client and I'm living in a newly bought house, why should I have to fix the lines that was installed incorrectly to begin with. My mother had her free installation done 7 months ago and Telkom never had a problem then. Free installation is just what it says FREE... the hole for the telephone line from outside into my house is the only thing I'm suppose to provide as the home owner, and that was already there. Installation within 7 days!!! Not!!! Telkom Eastern Cape is in need of skilled technicians.
