Iburst cancellation Fee and Bad attitude

Since i renewed my contract my internet speed has been up and down but for the past while now im getting 40kb/s at best on a 1mb line. its too slow to do anything.

I complained and let them know i wanted to cancel and was told by a extremely obnoxious and rude retentions officer, that i must pay R600 odd for a cancellation fee. As i am not getting the service im paying for why should i pay? My sister lives across from me and had the same issue and she did not have to pay for cancelling.

I work from home and i cannot do anything with speeds like this. All i keep hearing from iburst is to buy more and more hardware to fix the issue, why should i buy more software when i never needed it before.

I dont want to be with this company anymore and dont feel i should pay for not wanting to be with a company that offers bad service.
