IBurst Does Not Honour Cancellation Notice

On 4 Sept 2013 I sent a Cancellation Notice to iBurst, via their Contact Form on their own website.
As the site does not have option of cc'ing own e-mail address with message sent, I copied the Contact Form and saved it as a Worddoc.
On 01 October, having heard nothing from iBurst, I followed-up via e-mail address I found from an iBurst agent, as well as a copy to sales@iburst... who fwdd it to retentions@iburst... who responded that the account would be terminated 30/11/2013!?
The 'agent' responded they had 'not received Cancellation and contract requires 30 calendar days', did I have proof? I provided the copy of WordDoc showing creation date. However, iBurst do not consider this proof, insinuating I could change it, repeating the contract ends 30 Nov.
Should a client be penalised for using iBurst's website, if it does not work correctly? At the time I had no other way of contacting them to provide notice of Cancellation. Should they not have good faith and cancel the contract as at end October at least?
