Lightening hit our landline on Friday night and broke the cable near the Telkom junction box. Reported early Saturday morning (ref 108CRK090213) but not a peep out of Telkom. Other than the automated promise to "endeavor to resolve the problem ASAP". I wonder what is Telkom's definition of ASAP?!
My wife attempted to follow up yesterday and was told something along the lines of "they are busy at the exchange". That has obviously nothing to do with our cable problem, the fault is clearly visible and has nothing to do with any exchange. Perhaps the standard couldn't care less answer and a euphemism for "we don't have enough staff, despite all the money you have paid us".
