At least 3 days prior to 29 May 2013, my land line went 'dead '. On 29 may, i contacted telkom who promptly forwarded an sms quoting a faults number and indicating that that telecom will endeavor to resolve the problem asap. Thats all that happened thus far. On 3 June i received another sms indication that telkom has concluded its investigations and that a cable in your area will be replaced and the restoration of your service is targeted for 15 June 2013. The question i am asking is which cable takes approx 20 days to replace.. My experience is that it it is more appropriate to have a recording playing than to hear this "drivel " from telkom. They have no answers to anything u ask them except to say that telkom is aware of the problem. If u ask to speak to a manager, all they say is that somebody will contact you, and the matter is forgotten. They initially told me that the cables were. On another occasion they indicated that the fault has not yet been assigned to a technican. I asked telkom to tell me the the exact location, where the cable is being replaced, to verify their story. To date no answers. What telkom is saying to their clients is simple "GET LOST "
