False advertising of Awesome package

Telkom was advertising their Awesome package for R169 per month which included 5GB and a free wireless modem. I called in to get the package and was told I would pay R169 a month and R167 a month for the line rental. They then went on to explain the weekender rates for phone calls etc.

When I got my 1st bill, I saw that they billed me for a month in advance as I was a new customer. This is fine but the sales consultant didn't bother to explain that aspect to me. I also noticed that they are billing me R86 for the 5GB access which I was told was included in the package! This is false advertising to me as I am now paying much more than the R169 they advertised and clearly the price of the 5GB is not included in the R169.

I phoned the billing department and all they told me to do was to call the new orders department to check with them!

Hope someone will bother getting back to me!
