Cell C has been my data provider for years. I WAS VERY HAPPY with both my 1st and 2nd 60Gig deals (5gig x 12 months). Cell C, now you're sucking.

Cell C is clearly selling much more GSM data than they have the capacity for - including peak hours and off-peak hours. I bought the Giga200 package for R1799, and it is still being advertised. After a few weeks, the data speed would plummet shortly after midnight (clearly a capacity issue). These days, the speed is very low day or night, except for short time periods where it seems to improve. The signal is strong, and the mode is HSPA (light is blue or cyan) but yet the system is constipated.

A related but different issue is that the signal is suddenly disconnected on a periodic basis, and then reconnects a few minutes later. I have observed this same behaviour with 3 different speedsticks and 3 different SIM cards and 2 computers.

I had to change to an 8ta data connection in order to make this complaint. The 8ta connection is fast and reliable and highly recommended.
