I have been trying for 2 years to do a transfer of account. My celphone contract has been in my fathers name and after his death i tried to change it. firstly I faxed all the neccesary docs as required. they "lost" them. then we went into a vodashop and did a transfer of ownership. but again when we phoned vodacom there was no record of this. on friday we went into vodashop again to do a transfer. After trying for half an hour, and after being rudely cut of by a customer serve agent with the assistance of a consultant we finally got hold of legal and were assisted in doing a transfer. eventially it was recorded on the system. when we got home i got a sms to tell me my account is in arrears. i again phoned legal and got hold of the same legal agent Vernon. who assured me that it is only because of the transfer and my service will not be deleted or switched of. later that afternoon my account was switched off. after trying to phone customer service again. no one could assist. now i have noticed that no one wants to help you in dealing with a deceased account. and just transfers you from one agent to another. and all the stories differ.
