Hello ABSA,

I spoke to someone on Friday, 14/2/25. She helped me with my policy, and I corrected that all doors have burglar bars. She sent me all the above attachments. I see now that my policy costs more per month when it should be less, as we discussed in my updated policy.

She took my number and promised that the people who handle the yearly policy increase would phone me back. However, as I told her, they have not phoned me back. She promised and reassured me that they would, but still no call back.

This morning, I’ve been waiting to speak to someone for an hour, then the phone cut off. I phoned again, waited for 15 minutes, and then the phone cut off again. I phoned again, waited for 30 minutes, someone answered, but then they dropped the phone. I phoned again and waited for another 30 minutes. A lady answered, took my number. I asked her to phone me back, and she just dropped the phone while I was speaking to her.

All my phone airtime is finished, and I can’t phone anyone for the rest of the month.

My policy should be less per month now that I rectified the errors made by the person who helped me when I first joined the house insurance. I have always had burglar/safety gates in front of all my doors, but this was not stated correctly on my policy.

Now you want me to pay more per month. How can this be?

Can someone please phone me back urgently?
