Telkom takes months to conclude a basic contract

I have been trying to take out a 2 year data contract with Hellkom since December last year. A basic R99 per month x 24 month data contract. As of today's date it is still not finalised. I have no idea how it could possibly take this long and the service is execrable. With my cellphone contract they similarly took forever, took even longer to port the number and misrepresented that the phone was LTE compatible when it was not. HOW DO THEY REMAIN IN BUSINESS?
