Don't supply batteries

Went into the MTN store in Lambton to buy a new battery (after being told by another store that my battery was not the issue, it must be booked into a repair shop for 48hrs with no replacement!) and was told that they do not sell batteries, I must go to Vodacom or a "knock-off" shop to get one. What kind of cell provider doesn't sell batteries as an accessory? Fortunately my localknock off shop had an original battery and this fixed my problem that I was told it wouldn't. Poor form MTN
