Camera battery faultiy

I bought a second battery for my Nikon camera. I bought the battery at Kodak in Green Stone mall. The service was superb. The gpb battery was bought in the beginning of Feb 2012. Both batteries have been used quiet a lot air shows etc. The gpb battery has swollen up in the middle I noticed this about that it was sticking in the camera. I used the battery and recharged it. I went to use the camera on Friday and it would not fit in the camera. I returned to the shop, told not stocking that brand, will find out what can be done. Got phoned by Kodak supplier not interested. Phoned them, sales person already has perceived idea of what happened to battery, not interested out of warranty. Over charged battery but other battery is fine, told that charger is faulty, and I can purchase a new battery from them. Not willing to help or understand what I was saying. Could not have cared less to what I said OUT OF WARRANTY .Batteries are not cheap.
