MTN's Admin Error Costs me R 8000.00

In March 2012 I took up a contract with MTN at R369.00 a month. My request to the consultant was I wanted the data card package on a Top up option. She assured me that my contract will be processed as such. I received the goods and started paying my monthly subscription fees from April 2012. I conducted the account very well, diligently paying the R369.00 subscription fee every month for 12months, until for the first time since the inception of the contract I received an invoice with an outstanding amount of over R 8000.00. When I further made enquiries, I was then informed that I had actually taken up an Open contract. I requested copies of the documents I signed. Just as I had anticipated, the Sales Process Checklist as well as the Activation Request forms were not signed by myself, only by the consultant. MTN has now blocked all my other contracts with them, even though they have nothing to do with this error.

I have been waiting for feedback and assistance from the branch and the regional manager for over a month now. I phone almost everyday with no joy at all. What makes matters worse is that one of the other lines that they have blocked is actually used for business purpose
