Phone sent back with unresolved battery issues

Telecommunications

Hi,

This is the second time I have sent in my phone for repairs and I was promised that it would be marked as a priority and quickly dealt with, but after many calls and emails sent by the call centre personnel to the responsible technician, it has still not been assessed and almost another week has gone by.

The battery takes longer than usual to charge and it drains in a matter of hours even when the phone is on standby.

The first time I sent it in, it took two weeks and they only did a software update with some tips on how to improve my battery life by switching of my Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. I have had many iPhones in the past and always used them to their full extent and their batteries never drained so fast - this model was also fine for the first month and a half.

If I fully chare the phone when I go to bed, there is only 15% battery life left when I wake up 8 hours later, even though it was on standby the whole time. I would've been happy if the problem was sorted out after a mere software update, but it angers me to think that the person who worked on my phone never tested it after doing the update.

I am very tired with the whole process.

Regards,
Cornel van der Merwe
