Contract phone taken for repairs

I took up a contract phone back in 2009 and the phone had to go for repairs a month i had used it and the same simcard of the contract phone was in the phone the time it went for repairs. after 3 months still paying the contract of a phone i took in for repairs i receive a call from the repaires on the cellphone number i gave them it was a prepaid number, they tell me they fixed the phone without my concerned on agreeing with the qoutes basically no one informed me of anything. they said i should pay two thousand and something and i ddnt pay it called the branch i took the contract with and they kept giving me the run around kept paying until i felt it was enough i am paying and yet i dont even use the sim card stopped payment. it went quiet no one communicated with me up until 2012 i started receiving calls form some company shapiroshaikdefries&assoc saying i owe mtn R 15 469, 48 i call the company to inform then i dont know about this then they tell me its mtn contract account i have. till this day they send me smses. i dont mind paying but can i have my phone and sim card back
