My dad bought me a phone from Cell C Chatsworth for my birthday.
Upon receiving the phone which needed to be couriered to me in Johannesburg, I realised there was a fault with the sim and network reader.
The phone was unable to read any sim card. I contacted the branch in Chatsworth to find out if I am able to take the phone in to a Cell C store in JHB.
I spoke to Thaven from Midrand who told me that I would need to send the phone back to the Durban branch in order for it to be assessed prior to them being able to replace the phone.
Furthermore, the phone would need to be received by them within the 7 day cooling off period in order for them to replace! I was also told by Kaylen (Chatsworth) to take the phone to a back door institution in order to get it unblocked! (I phoned from a company line so the call was recorded)
The phone was bought on the 27/01/14 and couriered to me by 30/01/14. Tomorrow is therefore my 7th day.
I am completely astounded by the complete lack of customer service by Cell C! For such a major company, you really are just FOR YOURSELF!
I would appreciate this matter being tended to immediately by someone from Cell C who actually knows what they are doing
