Cancelled 2 contract but MTN cant confirm

We took out 2 contracts at Century City and to start off, the contracts took 2 weeks to approve as MTN didn't' receive the forms. Now we want to cancel MTN as their 808 number is never picked up, there stores don't understand how the contracts works or always have system issues when lines are long.
We went to the CapeGate branch to cancel our contract that expired in Jan 2014, giving a months' notice. We were told by the guy helping us that it will be cancelled on 20 Jan 2014 and we had to give a reason why we don't want to do a number port and we just said MTN deals are not good wrt to data. We filled in the forms, it got scanned in and then we got a copy as proof.
Guess what... a month later and the contracts are still active, we still paying and even after going to the Stellenbosch branch to find out what's happening, they had system issues as usual and can't get through to 808. My wife tried for most of last week to get through to 808 and when she did, she was told that the contracts are still active for another 30 days, even though we cancelled giving 1 months' notice. OUR Numbers 083 454 4237 (Yolanda), 083 454 4248 (Vernon). Sorry to say MTN really.
