Vodacom
Using old info to make decisions on new contracts

Telecommunications

I applied for a Vodacom contract through FNB. FNB indicated that the contract was approved in principal. However, when the FNB agent contacted me to finalise the contract, they did a check with Vodacom to see if I qualified

The agent informed me that based on account history dating back to a contract I had in 2004/2005, when I was unemployed, Vodacom have declined me a new uChoose contract.

The information Vodacom are using, doesn't even reflect on my credit profile! Vodacom seem to have a double standard, because when I applied for a data contract through FNB in 2012, Vodacom approved me with no issues! This is ridiculous Vodacom, on a number of levels!
