I have had no Telkom phone or ADSL line since Wednesday 8th January. That is almost 2 weeks now that I am paying for a service and have not received it. I reported the fault via sms on thurs 9th and fri 10th with no result. On Monday 13th I spend over an hour on hold on their helpline which is only free from Telkom numbers but since mine isn't working I had to use my cell phone at a great cost!! I am completely frustrated with their ineffective helpline and their inefficient service - they can only tell me that the fault is queued but not when it will be repaired. I run my business from home and without my advertised phoneline or my email working I am losing clients and money every day that this continues. In desperation I had to buy a mobile modem on the weekend - another cost I should not have had to incur. Telkom is costing me money every day instead of providing the service I am paying them for!!
