Telkom ADSL does not work!

I had choice of service providers when I decided to install an ADSL line at my home. Against my better judgement I chose Telkom. The lady at Telkom assured me the best rates, a hassle free install (3 weeks waiting time) and heap of other benefits.

I waited 3 weeks and the installation was done in 1.5 hours. I was very happy with the service as this was meant to be surprise for my kids. 1 hour later it stopped working.
I called 10210 (helpline) and they sorted he problem. The very next morning it was off again. Once again I called and they sorted the problem. this has been happening daily since the 11th of December. It is still not working as I am typing this complaint.

Every call is an average of 30 minutes on the phone (cellphone). I don't even know how much time and money I have spent trying to get the fault fixed. After paying R700 deposit and being messed around for two weeks I don't what to do for Telkom to assist in completing my installation.
I'm R700 our of pocket and I'm stuck with a modem that does not work. So much for surprising my kids!

My final word is; STAY AWAY FROM TELKOM DSL, YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!
Utterly disgusted in this service delivery (or lack thereof).
