We purchased a Apple Iphone 5 on 21/12/2012. We have 2 other Iphone's and an Ipad.
Since we received the Iphone 5 we had problems with this phone- mostly problems with software, according to Vodacom Canal Walk.
- 2 months ago the iphone was taken back to Canal Walk. It was sent to Tyger Valley and then sent to Johannesburg. It was returned after 17days. No repairs were done and "icloud" was blamed. Unfortunately the same problems persisted (in our opinion hardware related). On 22/12/2013 the phone was taken back to Tyger Valley, Vodacom. On 7/1/2014 I received a phone call explaining that the Phone's repair costs were more than R3000. They also claimed that the phone fell -had external damage. This is not correct, it only has external scratches. They also mentioned that the warranty expired, because the phone was taken to Vodacom 1 day after the 1 year warranty. Yes, 1 day! After 17 years with Vodacom I'm very dissappointed in Vodacom's approach to dealing with complaints and advising their clients on Iphones.
