I took an upgrade from the Istore for an iphone 5 on the Vodacom network. After 7 months the sleep button stopped responding more than 30% of the time. I took the phone to the Vodacom customer care and there I was told that the system is not picking up the warranty. I can remember standing in the que when the iphone was released and I was told that the istore is still waiting for iphones from the networks. According to my understanding all iphone 5 comes with a one year warranty from Vodacom. The Vodacom customer care sent me a mail stating that they do not pick up the warranty but they can repair the device for an additional cost. So how come Vodacom is issuing iphone 5 contracts without a warranty, howcome my contract says my iphone has a warranty and it is not in the vodacom system, am I being tricked to pay for something that is not part of the package. If my phone is not a vodacom phone then how come vodacom is billing me every month. Is the istore responsible for this? If my iphone is not a Vodacom phone then where did the istore get this iphone from. Who is going to claim responsibility for this. Will this phone be replaced or fixed, whats are the consumers lead to believe?
