I informed MTN beginning of October 2013 that they must cancel my contract which expired on 26 October. On 30 October I wrote to [Email Removed] "Herewith payment of my account.
Please take note that I have given notice on 1 October (email - of 1 October - attached) that I am terminating this contract.
Payment in November for use during October will then be the last payment I make on this account."
7 November, Ms Alice van der Merwe from MTN wrote Thank you for emailing Customer Care.
Thank you for submitting your proof of payment. We advise that your payment of R149.00 is reflecting. We have sent the request to the cancellation department to assist you with the cancellation request..
We look forward to being of service to you in the future."
3 Jan. I got notice that I was handed over to their legal department. I attached all the emails referring to the cancellation of my contract *again*.
24 January: I got yet another account from MTN showing that I am in arrears.
