Vodacom
Deductions from bank acc on behalf of third party

Telecommunications

My Vodacom account is monthly paid by debit order. Since October 2013 monthly amounts are deducted from my account for unknown services - only indicated as Content Services. To date the total amount deducted: R636.97

On enquiries Vodacom replied that it is for a third party - WASP / Integrat. I then lodged a complaint, as I have never subscribed to any such services, nor has any services of that kind been rendered to me. Vodacom replied: "It is not required by law for the agent (in this case Vodacom) to have a specific agreement with, or permission from, the customer; to bill and collect the money on behalf of the WASP."

I also lodged a complaint with WASP. They cancelled the unspecified, non-existing services but refused to refund the monies. They even claimed that I subscribed to the services and attached a chaotic Excel spread sheet to "proof" this subscription! I have never subscribed to any services nor have WASP/Integrat ever contacted me to confirm this "subscription".

Vodacom is my service provider and my contract is with them. I therefore insist that Vodacom refund me in full for monies deducted from my bank account for these obscure services.
