Upgrade from Blackberry to iPhone was negotiated with Autopage Cellular (by Keith) and my husband Wynand. The contract includes 500MB data, and thereafter data at 15c/MB, effective 1/11/2013. I ceased to use the blackberry on 31/10/2013.

On 9 Nov I received a sms notifying me of an owed amount of R3879.68 for the blackberry services that was never suspended (call ref A131109925, hellopeter 15/12/2013). Customer care reasoned the iPhone contract is only effective from 1 Dec (even though my telephone number was linked to a new sim in the iPhone). I dealt with Elom Mathipa who ordered a credit note to void the bill (hellopeter 19/12/2014).

Hellopeter 6/01/2014 - no resolution. Numerous telephone calls and emails - now Autopage changed their story. At the start they admitted to making a mistake now they changed the data usage to 15c/KB! A debit order of R8606.74 was deducted from my account om 3/01/2014 based on the incorrect billing charges. I have requested an itemized bill as i work from home and use wifi, the 500MB mobile data is hardly used. Autopage cannot produce itemized bill.

Is the telecommunication ombudsman the only way forward?
