Exorbitant data charges despite wifi usage

I have made several attempts to engage Altech Autopage about exorbitant data charges on my phone. The reference from Autopage is A130221286. They sent me an sms saying my credit request was resolved but when I called the customer care to query what amount was being credited, they retracted this and said instead that my phone would be cut off unless I paid this ridiculous charge.

My last month's bill was R656.62, however this month I am required to pay R4738.42.

I see there are numerous other complaints to Autopage of a similar nature that suggests Autopage really does have a billing flaw they are unwilling to admit.

I was rudely told by a customer consultant that they have investigated the data usage with their internet company and verified my usage. They are unwilling to accept that I have the same usage report from Telkom for my unlimited WIFI ADSL line which I use all the time and never use cellular data.

I have an iphone 4s and am aware that you can turn off Cellular data, but when I do this, I cannot even send an SMS. Please help! I am 67 years old, live alone and have been told my phone will be cut off if I cannot pay this amount.
