Waiting since 8 jan for adsl line

I have been promised that my new adsl line will be installed on 8 January..
By 10am on the 8th the helpline assured me the technician booked out to install my line at 8:15.By the afternoon no one arrived. After many calls from my side I was told that there is a faulty cable. The technician assured me that my line will be in by 10 Jan, pronised to call me and keep me up to date.
Needless to say by Tuesday 14 Jan nobody showed up. I called and the helpline said that the cable was fixed on the 13th and that the line will be installed on Friday 17 Jan. Again I was promoised phone calls to keep me informed.By Friday no one arrived and I received no calls. I called again and the call centre promised me that she will escalate the query and a call within the next hour to tell me what is happening.
By late Monday morning no one has called and no sign of Telkom. I called and I was told that the technician was here on the 17th and found that a pole was needed and he was waiting for the pole department. Why didn't he see a pole was needed on the 8th when he was supposed to install? The centre promised me another escalation and a call within 24 hours.
It is 21 Jan. Still no line
