Telkom can't get fixed-line installed

I'm sure there are a lot of these sort of complaints, but I will create another one anyway.

For a company that is supposed to install fixed-lines as a core business, Telkom appears to fail miserably at what they do best (or worst in this case).

I ordered a telephone line to be installed in Jan of this year, I expected the installation to proceed smoothly. The first trio of contractors arrived on a Saturday. They didn't actually install the line, but made many excuses as to why they thought they could not install the line. They told me to have a pipe installed where they could put the line through, but as I am renting I decided not to do it (not my property). I cancelled the line.

Soon after that I realized that I really needed ADSL (mobile operators too expensive), and ordered again. From then on it has been two week postponements each time a technician is scheduled to come and install.
A technician comes, says he has to maybe do something else first, like modifying something in the next yard, then leaves. The date gets postponed by two weeks. The technician doesn't come, two more weeks.

As space is limited I will get to the point I am trying to make: Telkom is useless.
