Beyond frustrated!! No reply/feedback

I upgraded my phone on 31/12/2013. Since then I have been trying to get hold of Mtn's insurance to change my details to the new phone. What a JOKE!!! Holding on for 40 minutes at a time-with no answer of course! I've attempted phoning again & again & again - no answer, only automatic voice message! Eventually I sent an email to the customer care depart, they replied that the Insurance dept will call me back within 24-48 hours. Pfffft, its a week later & guess what?! Still NO RESPONSE!!
Should anything happen to my phone now, I'm not covered (due to pathetic service). Don't even want to know how on earth a claim can be submitted if you CAN'T REACH anybody!
All this trouble & frustration just to change my details!!
This is totally ridiculous & unacceptable!!!
