Loyal 20 year MTN subscriber gets shafted

My 2 year contract was coming to an end in January 2013, so a month before it expired I called MTN and said I wouldn't be renewing, but would rather be going 'Pay as you Go'. I asked what needs to be done my side and was told to do "NOTHING" as my contract wont be renewed without my signature. I trusted customer service on their advise but on 1st Feb 2013 I noticed R378 debited from my account?

Today I phoned 808 and spoke to 'Brenda' (ref #96667909) who explained I should have contacted their Cancellations Dpt back In Dec 2012... news to me... Anyway, after requesting a refund, she refused and said Im being charged month by month and would I like to cancel and go 'Pay as You Go'. She said my last payment would be R378 in March. Eventually I gave up and said OK Fine, take my money!

Now I see I have NO airtime, Ive been switched to 'Pay as you Go' already with zero minutes, even though I was debited R378 for Feb, which includes 200 minutes per month (via old contract). I cant phone 808 or 173...

Please sort this out ASAP before I escalate...
