Tried to port my number since Thursday (31st Jan). Called on saturday and was initially told that no email was received. 2 Minutes later they found the email. Porting request started and was informed that Porting will take place from 7:30pm to 10:30pm on saturday. Received an email on Saturday night saying that the Port request was sent and that Vodacom hasn't released the number. Contacted Vodacom on Monday morning and was told that number has been available and that NO REQUEST from 8TA was sent.

Contacted 8ta again and was told by the supervisor (Sanele Buthelezi) that the port request got "STUCK" and they waiting for their technical department to fix it.

I have now stopped my debit order with 8ta until service improves. They can collect the phone if they want and rebate me for the time and effort and airtime spent over the past few days.

This will be taken to media as I am a doctor and make and receive calls throughout the day.

We should not be paying for a service we do not get, and we will not.
