In July 2013 there was a upgrade done on my account without my knowledge, at MTN's Davenport branch in Durban. I noticed this was the case in August when the first debit order was processed and immediately made MTN aware of this. After numerous calls and emails, and much fighting, my money was refunded to me in November. I then requested my upgrade and received my new phone thinking that the issue was resolved. BUT within the same month I started receiving smses from MTN stating that I owed them a substantial amount of money. Once again MTN were contacted and informed of the situation to which they responded that there had been a credit passed for that value and not to worry. At the end of December I was again sent an sms with an increased amount showed as owing and they have now suspended my line. They clearly have no intention of solving a problem created by them and the. Having called the call centre I was informed that the supervisor was handling the case. I have sent numerous emails and received no feed back at all. MTN are willingly now tarnishing my credit rating and stopping my communication all due to their flimsy verification process.
