Telecommunications

I upgraded my Vodacom contract at the end of December 2012. I took a Nokia on my new contract. After 3 days I still could not upload my contacts. The store lady couldn't help either, and I wanted to exchange the phone for a Samsung. She locked it on the system. She said they will be closed over Christmas and that it would be quicker to exchange the phone in JHB. On 24 Dec I went to JHB and they were offline. Upon opening in January she lock the exchange on the computer again. Few days later I received a sms to came and pay R2826 cash to order the Samsung. I ask if this amount could be included in my subscription payment over the 24 months like with the Nokia and she said no. I called the customer care number twice and they said they could do it for me if the lady at the shop cancel the upgrade on her side. Next I received a sms saying that the CPA exchange was declined and I must pick up the handset. The lady also called somebody higher up to help, but with no success. Now I have to carry on with the contract with a handset that I don't/can't use. To cancel the contract will cost me more than R3000. I would really like to carry on with the contract with a Samsung S3.
