Vodacom gives the run around regarding my refund

I took out a contract online and within the cooling period, I requested Vodacom to collect their phone (LG Optimus L9) and to cancel the contract. They confirmed receipt of the phone on 12 Aug 2013. Since Aug 2013 I have been engaging with them to obtain my refund. Worse, they made another debit on my account on 01Oct2013. I have spoken to agent after agent and yet I have not received my money. On 07 Nov 2013, I spoke to Zama who told me that the refund reflected on my Vodacom account and would be transferred to my bank account within 3-5 working days. On 26Nov2013, I spoke to Lehlohonolo who told me that it was awaiting approval from Bo at the back office. My last communication was with Esther on 03Jan2014, around 11:29am, who assured me that the refund was approved that day and the money, R998, would reflect in my bank account within 7 working days. No refund is reflecting in my bank account, this being the 9th working day.

The run around that Vodacom has given and is giving me is beyond a nightmare. It is appalling that this is how customers are treated.
