I have a Samsung S4. This phone is less than a year old and the battery started to swell up. I contacted Vodacom Customer Care and reported the issue. I was told that its a common issue and told me that my battery is under warranty and instructed me to go to my nearest Vodacom shop to get a new battery. At Secunda Vodacom shop they told me that they have to send my phone away for 4-6 weeks and then they will decide if I should pay or not. I reported that I can not be without a phone for that long and that I do not want to pay for a phone I do not have. They then wanted me to use an old nokia they have but have to pay R200 for it, then have to pay for a sim swap and when my phone returns I have to pay for a sim swap again or I can pay for a new battery that is R500. I didnt accept and phoned Vodacom again. TJ. She said that I should just get a new battery. Went back to the Vodacom shop, but they refused to even look at the Ref number. They said that I must then go to Witbank because they are a vodacom shop and not a vodaocm Care. Phoned Vodacom again and complained. They said that I need to call Vodacom Care. Phoned this morning to get the number, but the "System was down.
