Vodacom
Samsung Galaxy S4 battery problems

Telecommunications

About six weeks ago I renewed my contract at Vodacom (mall of the north) and took the Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone. Sunday 20/10/2013 my phone kept on shutting down. I removed the battery and saw that it had swollen up. I then restored my factory settings on my phone thinking it might be a virus. Today, 23/10/2013 I went to the Samsung electronics shop and they then referred me back to Vodacom. I explained my issue with a lady there and she told me that she's only working there for 2 months she will ask for help. Then the shop manager was phoned and we were told to send the whole phone with the battery for repairs. I'm confused as to why the phone must go with the battery and why the tech dept must replace my battery. Its still under the 6 (six) month warranty... Then I had to hear there is no loan phones available. Also there wasn't any "generic" Samsung galaxy S4 batteries in store??? We have 5 contracts with Vodacom, and I would hate to see that change because the Vodacom shops does not have any trained staff on hand. They can not answer questions regarding their products. And I refuse to send my phone with for a faulty battery!!! Please can you fix this? I still need a battery
