I can't use my data bundle

I was approached by "selldirect" with an offer from Telkom Mobile which involves a two year contract and inter alia a 5000 MB data bundle. While thinking that it is a good offer I went for it. I have been connected on Saturday, 11 January. Monday morning I received a message that my data bundle was depleted. In the following discussions with Telkom Mobile I learned that I am not able to use my Telkom data bundle because Telkom Mobile does not function by means of a Vodacom tower - unfortunately I am residing near the latter. I must say that this situation wasn't even a possibility in my mind because I was always thinking that all the service providers make use of one another's facilities. What really happened is that I was happily using a small "other networks data" during the weekend without knowing it. Yesterday I asked Telkom Mobile by email to accommodate me by giving me only (say) 2 000 MB per month on the "other networks data" to enable me to make use of my contract benefits. The reply was short and to the point: "No". This means, as they say in Afrikaans, "dat ek 'n kat in die sak gekoop het".
