I recently upgraded to a iPhone s5 on vodacom. One evening updates downloaded on my phone without me knowing. I had over 2 gig night owl data, but that was not used although my session started 1am in the morning. I also had 200 meg available. The next day I used the internet on my phone and never received any messages that my data has ran out (up until that point I always got a sms). Even worse I dialed *111# to check my balance at one stage and my balance was reported as -0.2 meg. I immediately loaded 250 data on my phone and continued using. 2 days later i get a message that I owe vodacom 4, 000 for 2 gig out of bundle. I declared a dispute and they said on 24 december that they would contact me in 14 days. I haven't heard anything from anyone at vodacom and my new bill includes that amount. This is totally unacceptable. I spend over 1 grand a month and they treat me like this. Even worse they have already took a gig off my night owl data and i never switch ny data on over bight anymore. How can this be.? 2 gig data costs 400, its their system fault and they still charge nee over 5, 000. Ive been a good customer a d feel totally abused by vodacoms unfair practices
