They are billing me for a fone which i dont have

I received a contract phone from MTN and a day later I called them and told them I no longer want the fone and then I called their call centre and one of their agents to me and said I should take it to the nearest mtn store then wen I got to the store they said contracts that were made telephonically they do not take the cellphones. I should call the call centre and they should arrange with the courier to come collect and eventually after giving the run around the courier came topick it up and it was within the 7 days cooling off period. Now iam receiving messages from mtn telling me they will take legal action against me if I don't pay the instalments. Iam going to sue mtn for all the stress they have caused me with their incompetence.
